After 15 years break from woodturning (I blame my kids) I have finally got back to my Lathe. However, time has taken it's toll and I had to upgrade my old Coronet, to a new Axminster 1416VS Lathe. Unfortunately, it was not only my lathe that got rusty, but with the help and advice of the members of Strathclyde Woodturners, my turning has improved greatly.
I enjoy turning bowls, boxes and have just started making pens. I have also had to completely reorganise my workshop to accommodate the new equipment and tools.
I do have a lot to learn, but with the help and support I’m getting from the other members, I’m enjoying the journey.
