I am Norwegian, from a small place, Nygårdsjøen, near Bodø in the North of Norway.
I came to Glasgow to study at Glasgow University in 1963. I worked as a Civil Engineer in Norway for 3 years and moved to Scotland in 1970 when our son was born. Worked for 2 civil engineering consulting engineers before in 1975 joining Det Norske Veritas, A Ship Classification Society, and retired from them after 32 years in 2007. Our daughter came along in 1985 and is now working as a software engineer as is our son. My interest include photography, caravanning, DIY, genealogy, working with wood and now also woodturning.
I fetched my new lathe from Just-Wood on Thursday 8th of December 2011.
